CARMAUTO COOKIE POLICY

(A Delaware Corporation)

Effective Date: April 8, 2025

Last Updated: December 15, 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Carmauto Inc. (“Carmauto,” “CarmAuto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when Users (“you” or “your”) access or use the Carmauto website, the Carmauto progressive web application (“PWA”), and any Carmauto webpages, tools, or embedded features (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Platform, you consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must disable cookies in your browser or discontinue use of the Platform.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or application. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your preferences, enhance performance, and understand how the site is used. In addition to traditional cookies, Carmauto may use similar technologies such as browser local storage, session storage, device fingerprinting for security and fraud prevention, web beacons, tracking pixels, and PWA cache files used for offline access. For purposes of this Cookie Policy, we refer to these collectively as “cookies.”

2. Types of Cookies We Use

Carmauto uses several categories of cookies to operate and improve the Platform. Some cookies are essential for the Platform to function correctly, while others are optional and may be controlled through your browser or device settings, or through a consent tool if provided.

Essential / Strictly Necessary Cookies.

Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function properly and cannot be turned off in our systems. They enable core features such as account login, session maintenance, secure payment processing, fraud and security protection, navigation, page rendering, and basic PWA caching for offline functionality. Without these cookies, certain services you request cannot be provided, and the Platform may not operate reliably.

Performance and Analytics Cookies.

Performance and analytics cookies help us understand how Users interact with the Platform so that we can improve performance and user experience. These cookies may collect information about which pages are visited, how long sessions last, which features are used, error messages, and general usage patterns. We use this information in aggregate form to analyze Platform performance, identify issues, and improve features. Where possible, we use aggregated or de-identified data and do not attempt to identify individual Users unless you have given explicit consent or identification is necessary for security or legal reasons.

Carmauto may use both third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”), and internally developed analytics systems to measure Platform performance, usage patterns, and aggregate user behavior. GA4 may set cookies or use similar technologies to collect information such as device identifiers, browser attributes, session duration, and interaction patterns. GA4 processes data under Google’s own privacy policy, and Carmauto may receive aggregated or de-identified reports from GA4.

Carmauto also reserves the right to use custom-built analytics systems that collect similar categories of performance and usage data directly through Carmauto-controlled technologies. These systems may use cookies, local storage, event logs, or server-side tracking to evaluate Platform performance, detect errors, improve user experience, and develop internal business insights.

Whether analytics are provided through third parties or Carmauto’s own systems, all analytics data is processed in accordance with this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy.

Functional Cookies.

Functional cookies allow the Platform to remember your preferences and provide enhanced features and convenience. For example, functional cookies may remember saved vehicle profiles, your preferred service location, recent searches, user interface settings, or in-progress service requests. Disabling functional cookies may reduce convenience and personalization but generally does not prevent basic use of the Platform.

Advertising, Sponsorship, and Partnership Cookies.

Carmauto may use cookies in connection with sponsored listings, vendor promotions, anonymized audience insights, or product placement analytics. These cookies may help us understand which service categories generate interest and how promotions perform. Carmauto does not share personally identifiable information with advertisers or sponsors unless you expressly opt in. If our use of marketing or advertising cookies expands in scope, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by law.

3. PWA-Specific Storage and Caching

Since Carmauto is offered as a progressive web app, certain storage technologies beyond traditional cookies may be used. The PWA may store a local cache of files on your device through service workers to improve loading speed, offline functionality, and network stability. This cache is necessary for PWA operation and cannot be selectively disabled through cookie settings, although you can clear it through your browser or device storage settings.

We may also use local storage and session storage to maintain login states, keep track of in-progress service requests, store interface preferences, or support other basic app functionality. These storage items remain on your device until you clear them or until they are programmatically removed.

4. Third-Party Cookies and Services

Certain third-party service providers may set cookies or use similar technologies when you use the Platform. These may include payment processors (for fraud detection and tokenization), hosting and content delivery networks, analytics providers, customer-support or chat tools, and security and fraud-prevention vendors. These third parties process data under their own privacy policies. Carmauto does not permit third parties to place cross-site behavioral advertising cookies that track you across unrelated websites for targeted advertising purposes unless you have expressly consented and applicable law is satisfied.

These third-party analytics services may include GA4 or similar technologies that assist Carmauto in understanding aggregated usage trends. Carmauto may add, replace, or discontinue analytics providers at any time without separate notice, provided all processing remains consistent with this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy.

5. How We Use Cookie-Derived Data

Data generated by cookies is used to operate and secure the Platform, measure performance, prevent fraud and unauthorized access, analyze usage trends, improve features and user interface, personalize certain service recommendations, and generate aggregated, anonymous insights that may be shared with prospective vendors, advertisers, or partners. We do not use cookies to track your activity across websites that are not operated by Carmauto.

Analytics data collected through GA4 or Carmauto’s internal tracking tools is used only to evaluate Platform performance, improve product functionality, detect errors, prevent abuse, and understand aggregated user behavior. Carmauto does not use analytics technologies to track users across third-party websites.

6. How to Manage or Disable Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies and similar technologies. Most web browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, clear site data, disable third-party cookies, or control certain tracking features through their settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning properly. You can typically find cookie controls in your browser’s “Settings,” “Options,” or “Privacy” menu.

On mobile devices, you may be able to restrict certain types of storage, reset advertising identifiers, or limit location access through device settings. You can also clear local storage or PWA cache data using your browser or app management tools.

If Carmauto provides an in-Platform cookie or privacy preference center, you may use it to adjust analytics, functional, or advertising-related cookies according to your preferences. Where such a tool is available, a link will typically appear in the website footer or within the account or settings area.

7. Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal or setting. Because there is currently no industry standard governing how DNT signals should be interpreted, the Carmauto Platform does not respond to Do Not Track signals. You may still manage cookies directly through your browser or device settings as described above.

8. Data Retention for Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookie-derived data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Cookie Policy or as required by law. Session cookies are typically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. PWA cache and local storage remain until cleared through your browser or device settings or removed programmatically by the Platform.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights with respect to information collected via cookies and similar technologies, including rights to access certain data, request deletion where feasible, opt out of certain analytics or advertising cookies, or request additional information about our tracking practices. These rights are generally described in our Privacy Policy. You may exercise your rights by using available in-Platform tools (if any) or by contacting us using the details below.

10. Updates to This Cookie Policy

Carmauto may update this Cookie Policy at any time. Updates become effective upon posting the revised version on the Platform, unless a later effective date is stated. If we make material changes, for example, expanding the use of advertising cookies or introducing new categories of third-party tracking, we may provide a supplemental notice or request additional consent where required by law. Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Cookie Policy.
